Artist Profile

Kay Taylor began studying art in 1967 under the direction of local artists Clara Flanagan and Dan Morgan. After careers in Pitt County Schools and a photographer for The Farmville Enterprise, Kay returned to art full-time. Inspired by a six-week trip to South Africa, she photographed a variety of animals on game drives and completed several paintings of animals in their habitats. She has had solo exhibitions at the Greene County Museum in Snow Hill, NC and at the Farmville Community Arts Council.
